When I saw the book “The Curious Incident of the Dog in
the Night-Time “ on
the library shelf I thought it really had a weird cover, the picture of a dead
dog . Although I had no idea what it was about, such a long title made me feel
curious.
The
plot begins with the appearance of a dead dog in Christopher’s garden. He sets
on a journey to find the murderer, which will even take him to London. A surprising decision if we consider
that Christopher has never crossed his street alone.
I think “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time “ is a different
, interesting novel since it shows you how difficulties can be overcome and it
makes you believe that nothing is impossible if you try hard. Therefore, I
strongly recommend it. I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

The book I have chosen is called 'La sombra del viento' by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. I have decided to write about it because my Spanish language teacher recommended it to me. Apart from this, some of my friends, who have already read it, told me that it was a nice book.
ReplyDeletealthough this book is a thriller, there is also a love story. The main character is a boy named Daniel Sempere, who is going to experience a lot of adventures throughout the book. Together with Daniel, there is another character, Fermin, and he becames Daniel's best friend at the end.
The plot is set in Madrid in the year 1945. The protagonist goes to a cemetery of books with his father, and there he finds a damned book which is responsable of many dangers and a love story.
My opinion about this book is quite good because although it is a bit long, you can read it easily as well as the fact that you can have fun. The ending is surprising because you don't expect the things that happen. I would recommend it to people of all ages as there is a moral for everybody.
I´m going to recommend you a book called "El asesinato del magistrado". I saw it in a bookshop and I decided to buy it because I needed to read a book, and the front cover attracted my attention.
ReplyDeleteIt´s an historical and adventure novel that explains a history developed at the Ancient China, where there is judge who doesn´t only do his job he´s also a detective . The main character is the judge and the people that he investigate the people he meets on his way.
The plot it´s set in XXVIII century and talks us about the murder of two young
women and the judge investigate the two dies.
From my point of view it´s an entertaining book very easy to read but it´s bit short. I strongly recommend reading this book, I enjoyed it.

The books called "Memorias de Idhún: I, II & III" by Laura Gallego García are the only books that I wanted to read more than once. I read these three books three times. I read them for first time because my sister recommended them to me. I think it's a great saga.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantasy saga. There are three main characters: Jack, a teen with specials powers: he can convert in a dragon. The second main character is Victoria, a girl. At the begining of the story, she hasn't got any power, but after, she becomes in a great sorceress, with the help of Shail, a powerful wizard. The other character is Kirtash. I think he's the best character of the book. At the begining, he was a killer, the son of the king of Idhún. He can convert in a "shek", a giant winged snake.
The plot is set in two places: One of them is Madrid, and the other is Idhún. At the beginning of the story, Kirtash killed the Jack's parents, and when the killer went to kill Jack, Shail and Alsan, a member of the Resistance of Idhún, help him. Along the story, Kirtash become a good boy, and he sign in the Resistance. After, Jack, Kirtash and Victoria went to Idhún, for kill the King of Idhún, called Asran.
In the summary what I write, I can't explain all the story, because it has in total 2700 pages, and if you explain this story in 5 lines, it may seem a bit simple, but the books aren't just about that. Memorias de Idhún is a war story. It's also a love story. I think they're interesting books, and all the people who I know and who are read these books tell me that they love the book. I recommend reading these books, it's an exceptional story.

I'm gonna write about the book "20000 leagues under the sea" because I liked it so much when I first read it, and that's weird because I'm not often into novels. So I'm gonna take some of my time and start to write the plot and my opinion of this book.
ReplyDelete20000 leagues under the sea is a novel. His protagonist is Dr. Pierre Aronnax, a forty years old man who's a former medical doctor turned scientist and lecturer at the Museum of Paris, unmarried and childless. His domestic servant Conseil, follows Aronnax on all of his trips. Ned Land, a Canadian traveler on Abraham Lincoln ship. And the last but not the least, Captain Nemo, the commander of the submarine named "Nautilus".
The plot of this book is one of the most intelligent ever made:
Aronnax starts a trip trying to kill the big monster everyone is afraid of, but after his ship (Abraham Lincoln) sinks, he, Conseil and Ned Land, discover that the "big monster" that everyone knows, isn't a monster, but a submarine. Since then Aronnax and his friends meet Captain Ned and live inside Nautilus. I'm not going to give more information just because I don't want to spoil you.
Is different from other novels, I repeat, I'm not into novels, but this one got me hooked. I highly recommend it for all people, I think is a very special book, that everybody should read.

The book I´m going to recommend you is called “Las Crónicas del Mago Negro”. I´ve decided to write about it because I think you might like it a lot. I started to read this book last week and I enjoyed it too much so I finished the book the next day. The reason why I´ve read this book is because my mother told me it was an exceptional mystery and fantasy book and that I had to read it. I didn´t want to read it (because I thought it was a boring book and I´ve never heard about the book ´s author), but the front cover was very attractive and finally I started to read it.
ReplyDeleteThis book is about a new land where wizards exists. In this land there´s a wizards union and they control the whole land. A girl called Sonea, who is the main character, has the wizard´s power but she doesn´t want to be a witch so she has a problem because wizards don´t let people have their powers if they aren´t wizards. That power allows Sonea to make many travels, feel a lot of emotions and also have a great romance.
From my point of view this book is very exciting because I love fantasy books. It´s a saga so there are three books. I´ve already read all of them and I think the first book is better than the others. This book is amazing and very funny in some moments. The whole book is a thriller and it´s very easy to read.
I recommend you to read this book because I´m sure you will enjoy it

La leyenda del Cid by Agustín Sánchez Aguilar.
ReplyDeleteWhen the teacher of language told me that I had to read the book ¨La leyenda del Cid” I thought it was boring! but it surprised me.
The book tells the feats of the hero from Castilla El Cid (the main character).
It tells the exile and all the fighters and adventures that he has to reclaim the trust of the king and his wife.
If you like the history of Spain you’llenjoy it. From my point of view is very interesting.

The book I have chosen is " 10 cosas que hicimos" of Sarah Mlynowski. I decided to read it because my friend recommended it to me .when she gave it to me I didn't think that I would like because it was very long and I don't like to read, but this book I like me very much.
ReplyDeleteIt is a book of comedy and romance, his protagonists are two teenagers of 16 years who cheat his parents to live alone.
The plot is a teenager called April that she lives with his best friend. They have some fun, throw parties , buy a Jacuzzi, invite his boyfriends to house... But also they have problems and do things that probably they shouldn't have done.
In my opinion this book is funny and very easy to read. In addition it seemed to me to be very interesting because it shows things that might happen to a teenager and without his parents knew it. I recommend this book because it is interesting for teenagers.

The book is called “Los niños de la vacuna” by Javier Neveo. I choose to write about it because the language department from High School recommended it for the third evaluation. Apart from this, I think that this book is interesting to write about it.
ReplyDeleteThe type of this book is a comedy and a drama. There are four main characters: Andrés Maya (he has eight years old and he is a boy orphan), Isabel (she is an important woman in this expedition), Balmis (he is a doctor) and Pedro( he is the ship's captain).
The plot is set in XVIII century. It book talk about an expedition around the world to save children with the vaccine.
In my opinion this book is interesting and I like it because it talks about a sickness important for the people and this is based in a real story. I recommended reading this book and this is interesting for the adults.

The book that I chose to recommend it is "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green. I chose this book to write about it because I heard that the film has sucess and I decided to read the book and I like it.
ReplyDeleteThe book's theme is love and tragedy. The protagonists are a couple. The main characters are a girl who has cancer and a boy who has get over a cancer.
The book is about a girl with sixteen years old, Hazel Grace, who has a lung cancer and their parents force her to go to a support group for young people affected. There, she meets a young with seventeen years old, Augustus Waters. He has a leg amputated because he had osteosarcoma.
My opinion about this book is very nice and if you don't like read, you can also see the film but for me I like plus the book that the film. For me, the book is fantastic, good and also sad in the end. I recommend it for people who like read romance novels.

The book I'm talking to you is "La sombra del viento" written by Carlos Ruiz Zafón. When I listened the Spanish teacher recomended us this book, I thought that this book won´t be very well, but when a friend told me that it was a great book, I decide to read it.
ReplyDeleteThe book is a long story about the life of Daniel Sempere, who reads a book when he`s eight years old, and he try to find all of the books of its author. Throughout history Daniel meets some people who help him to search all books of this author, and to search the author too.
The plot begins when Daniel’s father show him a books’ cemetery and he choose a Julián Carax’ book. He loves the book and tries to know the maximum of this author and his career. Also it is a love story, and love for Daniel is not very good.
In my summary, it isn’t all explained, because it’s a long story, you must read the book. I recommend you La sombra del viento because it teaches that if you pursue something, you will achieve it. I’ve found interesting the book, cause it mixes mystery, a love story, and at the end, all fit together. I’ve really enjoyed it.

One two years ago, I went to the book shop to buy a Language book and I saw the book ``Los niños sin miedo el sotano maldito´´.I bought it because the assistant told me it was interesting.

Each chapter deals with a different mystery adventure always in different tows. Where strange events happen and they have to save them. All the stories happened during the 2013
My opinion this book is very good because the plot makes you think about the muysteries but I think sometimes the plot is slow

i'M gonna talk about a book called "the last wish", this book it's the first of a saga.
ReplyDeleteThe name of the saga is "The Witcher" and the author is Andrzej Sapkowski.
I decided to read and write about this book because a polish studio did some nice games about this saga.
I loved the games and I decide to read the books.
I read those seven books this month so I wanted to write about them.
It's an adventure book, the main character is Geralt of Rivia, a witcher.
For the book the witchers are humans with mutations who hunt monsters.
This book hadn't a lot sense, it just tells how is the normal life of a witcher.
The plot is about how he kills monster and humans, yes, he also kills the humans who he hates.
He has got two swords, one of steel for humans and one of silver for monsters.
He also use little spells to help him.
I think the book is very good, it has a lot of things what normal books hadn't, I hope you read it :)

I'm going to talk about a the book called "Finis Mundi", written by Laura Gallego García.
ReplyDeleteOur spanish teacher told us at the beggining of the year that we were gonna have to do a review of one of the books that are in a list, and I this book looked great, so i bought it.
Finis Mundi is an adventure book. It's set around the medieval period in Europe. It's about a young monk called Michael, that saw his own parish burn into flames, so he moved to the nearest city.
There he met a minstrel called Mattius, and Michael told him his history, and also another tale that it's the reason why the monk was exploring Europe.
Michael dreamed that the world was going to end in disaster in the year 1000 a.C. If humans wanted to live 1000 more years, they have to found the 3 stones of the time, and then bring them together, so God would give the Earth 1000 more years of life.
Mattius and Michael started a very long journey to found the 3 stones: the first one was in the Gold City, most common as Constantinopla.
The second one was in Santiago de Compostela, in Galicia, Spain, in a little monastery, and the third one was in the Stonehenge, a monument made of rocks in Great Britain.
They found the three rocks, but a band called "The Antichrist" were following them all of that time. They wanted the world to end, so they tried to stop Mattius and Michael giving to world more 1000 years of life, but they didn't succed.
In the process Michael died, because he had to give his life so the world could have 1000 more years of existance.
I really enjoyed the book, it's very interesting and really recommend it for every type of reader, of all ages.
Carles Puyol. The Biography.
ReplyDeleteIn the book you write about the life of footballer Carles Puyol. I chose this book because it was a player that I liked.
This book is a biography that speaks of the life of the player, he talks about his family, speaking of his best friends and friends of the team.
The argument is that Puyol was a child loves football and is preparing to play in the club, there spends his best years as a player until he leaves the football age.
I recommend this book only to people who like football.

The book I have chosen is “Buenos días princesa” by Blue Jeans. I decided read this book because my friend recommended it to me and because I like the romance books.
ReplyDeleteThe theme of book is a friendship, romance, not much tragedy and also little suspense. The main characters are six teenagers misunderstood each one the way (Valeria, Raúl, Maria, Ester, Bruno and Elisabet).
The book tells the life the each one. Every week everyone they met in the cafeteria for speak about their week. But the things changed and they going to move. They are feeling between some of them. They are very secrets… and a lot of things.
I like so much this book. I recommend this trilogy if you like the romance books and I also recommended you buy the three books at time because when you finish the read the first book you need read the second book. Also can see the film if you don’t like read, but I think the book is better than the film.

THE PROTAGONIST IS LION AND IS THE CHAPITAIN OF THE TEAM. MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER IS MARLON WHO ACCOUNTS THE STORY.

I'm going to talk about the book "American Sniper" he hasn't got autor, because there is the memories of Chris Kyle. I chose this book, because there is the best book that I read.
ReplyDelete"The American Sniper" is a war book, specifically the war of Irak. This book talk about the adventures of the USA army and how they can make with the control of this country. Also, this book talk of the difficult to have a family when you are a soldier, becauso you are a lot of time out your house and your family.
The protagonist is Chris Kyle, the best american sniper in the history of the USA army, another important character is Taya the wife of Chris. The rest of characters are soldiers like Chris.
Chris Kyle belong to the SEAL's, a unit of the USA army. The mission of this guys is to finish with the terrorists of Irak, and for make this mission they pass very bad situations an someone soldier die in the war.
I love this book and I recommended him for all people that like the war books.

I'd like to recommend a novel titled "Tears for a medal" written by Tania Lamarca and Critina Gallo. That's my favourite book because it's a story about a gymnast girl and her team. I'm gymnast too like her, so I identify with her.
ReplyDeleteThe book is a biography of Tania Lamarca, so she is the protagonist. A sixteen-year-old girl who has a dream: to obtain the olympic medal.
The plot begins when she's selected for the Spanish national gymnastic team. She has to move to Madrid to a special boarding-school for sportperson. They train hard, long hours every day. She remembers to be really hungry but she couldn't eat because she had to keep her weight.
I think it's a moving and remarkable book. It's a sad story because after long years of hard work nobody recognizes her in a sport event. However I recommend it. I'm sure you will like it.

The plot begins with Geronimo who is a journalist who writes a few books that are the bestsellers. Along the book different things are happening to Geronimo.
I think that "Geronimo Stilton" is an interesting book because it tells greats stories. I have ridden all the books of Geronimo.

Hello everyone, I'm going to write about the book ''Grimpow'', it's the first one I saw in my room and I honestly like it and I think it is a good book. I read it a lot of time ago, I don't remember it well but I'll try to write a good resume about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fantasy book, also, it has some mystery chapters, but they all fit well so it has more like ''thriller moments''. Anyway it's set in 1313, the protagonist Grimpow, a boy who finds a dead body in the mountains with a strange message and the philosopher's stone. Apparently, this person had a mission, and Grimpow decides to continue his adventure. This will change his life, and he will meet new friends.
As I said, I don't remember it, I just remember the main plot and not that perfectly, but I suppose it's a nice book and even if it is a bit long, it can be interesting if you like this kind of books!

I’m going to talk about ‘’The Lord of the Rings’’ book by JRR Tolkien.
ReplyDeleteThe first time that I saw this book was in my grandparents’ house. It was big, old and without a drawing in the cover. I didn’t feel like to read this book. But my cousin, that he was whit me in the house, said me: -This is the best fantasy book in the world! So I gave it an opportunity. The book had 1017 pages and I read it in one month and a half.
The book is a long fantasy story who tell the life of Frodo Bolson, a hobbit who live in the region. He always had had a peaceful life in his home, but one day the ring of the power appeared and he was forced to destroy it.
The plot is a bit difficult to explain. There are two sides: the good faction and the bad faction. The good side have to burn the ring in Mordor to win the war, and the bad faction need the ring to control every one. Frodo is the selected to throw the ring in the lava of Mordor.
I think that ‘’The Lord of the Ring’’ is the best book if you find a book of the genres adventure and fantasy. It get addicted a lot. I recommend this book to everyone, you must read it before your death!

It´s very difficult for me to choose one book because I love reading and I like a lot of books, but I will write about 'Jane Eyre' by Charlotte Brontë. My best friend recommended it to me because I love classic literature and romantic books.
ReplyDeleteIt tells the life of Jane Eyre, she´s an orphan and she lives in the house of her aunt until she leaves her to an orphanage and she lives there but at the age of eighteen she is going to work to a house as governess with a child. The father of the child and she have a beautiful and difficult story.
I recommend this book because it have love, mystery and drama. I really love it, it's so exceptional and I cry so much with it. But, it's very long, I only recommend it if you really like reading.

Last year I saw a film called ''The Hunger Games'' and it was very interesting and exciting.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed it a lot and then I went next day to a library and I bought the book. I knew that it'll be nice but it wasn't nice it was amazing. The book was much better than the film because there was many details which didn't appear in the film.
It's a bestseller whose writer is Suzanne Collins. The main character is Katniss Everdeen, a teenagers who lives in a poor village. The only way that her family can survive is to go hunt to the forest and get some food for eat. She's pretty good at archery and the bow is her main weapon.
The plot begins with 12 districts which are against the Capitol (the main district) because every year
each district must bring a male and a female to a 'hunger games'. It's a game where they must survive killing each others. But Katniss fall in love with Peeta (the baker of her district) and they rebelled against the Capitol.
There are 2 more parts which are quite interesting. I recommend it to everybody who like adventure novels because it won't be a waste of time I'm really sure about it.

My favourite book is “Asunto Galindo” by Fernando Lanana, a writer from Zaragoza. I've chosen this book because I won it in a school literary competition 2 years ago. I read it and it was fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThis is a detective book done in Zaragoza about a detective called Fermín Escartín who wants to find the assassin but the story is changing the real moment with the past, it is always going back and that's why I liked it very much when I read it.
This book is amazing and is the second of a 4 books saga. It is easy to read and it is not boring. I suggest it to everybody. Very good book and very good writer.

A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens
ReplyDeleteI will speak about a book called A Christmas Carol. His author is Charles Dickens. It's a book that his plot is about the Christmas spirit. I read this book because I had Christmas holiday I had to read book like Christmas homework.
The plot narrates the history of old man mean that called Mrs Ebenezer Scrooge. He and a partner had a business. His partner was dead on winter and after his ghost appeared. The ghost told him that he must change because in the end he will be alone. After appeared others three ghosts. One showed him the past, another the present and the third the future. He saw the advantage of help people and if he help them he will be happy.
I think about this book is easy to read. It is good for read but it's a bit boring. I recommend you if you want to know what is the Christmas spirit.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to speak about the book ''Buenos días princesa''. I choose this becouse it's the first book with many pages that I read when I had 13 years old.
It's a book basically of love but not only of two persons, is a group of five friends, 3 girls and 2 boys but along the book appear more people. In the book it is narrated the days of the 5 friends. His name of the group calls ''El club de los incomprendidos'' beacouse they haven't got friends.
I recommend the book for people of my age because you feel identified with the protagonists or at least with someone. It is not a great book becouse it's simple literature but i'ts fine.
