THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT TIME, by  Mark Haddon

When I saw the book “The Curious Incident of the Dog  in the Night-Time “ on the library shelf I thought it really had a weird cover, the picture of a dead dog . Although I had no idea what it was about, such a long title made me feel curious.

The book is a short mystery novel whose main character is  Christopher, a fifteen-year-old boy who has Asperger Syndrome, a kind of autism. He is great at Maths and Physics, but he is unable to understand human relationships.

The plot begins with the appearance of a dead dog in Christopher’s garden. He sets on a journey to find the murderer, which will even take him to London. A surprising decision if we consider that Christopher has never crossed his street alone.

I think “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time “ is a different , interesting novel since it shows you how difficulties can be overcome and it makes you believe that nothing is impossible if you try hard. Therefore, I strongly recommend it. I’m sure you will not be disappointed.
